EMBEDDED SYSTEMS ENGINEER AT OIM SWEDEN
Do you want to work with embedded systems that become real products? And at the same time, enjoy the variety of consulting projects without losing the sense of team? With us, you get both.
Your role with us
With us, you alternate between assignments at client sites and projects in our in-house environment. Sometimes you are on-site with a client, contributing to their development team. Other times, you work alongside colleagues in our own facilities, developing new products and building prototypes. Wherever you are, you are always part of OIM.
You will work in projects with great variety. From MedTech and GreenTech to consumer products and industrial applications. One project may involve developing a connected product, while the next focuses on a completely different type of system solution.
What you will do
You will be involved throughout the entire development journey, from early concepts to finished products. The work is hands-on and varied, and includes:
- Developing software for embedded systems
- Working with low-level, hardware-near programming
- Implementing and testing functionality
- Troubleshooting and optimizing systems
- Working with real-time systems and Linux-based solutions
- Contributing to architecture and technical decisions
You will collaborate closely with colleagues in electronics, mechanics, quality, and industrial design to create robust and well-thought-out solutions.
Our environment
At our facilities, you have access to everything needed to develop real products:
- Lab environment
- Prototype workshop
- Production areas
Here, ideas quickly turn into prototypes and eventually finished products.
You are fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.

- Experience with Linux and/or real-time operating systems
- Understanding of agile ways of working
- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English
Experience in product development within cross-functional teams or in fields such as MedTech is a plus, but not required.
Who you are
You are curious, solution-oriented, and enjoy tackling new challenges. You thrive in an environment where you take responsibility, collaborate with others, and work close to both technology and business.
